What's new in the Release 7.1 of the
Bates Project Management Methodology?

The Bates PMM is fully compliant with the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK^®), and provides the processes, tools and templates necessary to completely implement the PMBOK^® framework. It also complies with SEI's Capability Maturity Model (CMM) and the PM3 model. The Bates PMM has also been used in the context of meeting the requirements established by the Government of Canada's Treasury Board Secretariat for large-scale project governance as contained in the TBS Enhanced Management Framework (EMF).

The Bates PMM package is available on a individual or corporate licenses basis, depending on the client's requirement and project environment. The Bates PMM is currently in Release 6.7 and includes the following components:

Bates Project Management Methodology Manuals

Manual 1 – The Corporate Management of Projects
This manual describes the management of multiple projects across an organization. It includes project management policies, guidelines and processes as they apply in general to a corporate multi-project environment

Manual 2 – The Process of Managing a Project
This manual provides a start-to-finish process that managers can use to plan and execute individual projects successfully. Modules include project initiation, scope definition, work package planning, schedule planning, budget planning, project control, project close-out, procurement management, risk management and quality management.

Manual 3 – Human Considerations of Project Management
The communications and human issues of project management are discussed in this brief manual, including team building considerations and conflict management considerations.

Bates PMM Toolkit on CD-ROM

Now updated to include a total of 56 project planning templates in Microsoft® Word and Excel. Provides all of the forms from the Bates PMM for easy use and customization by the license holder. Users require Microsoft® Word and Excel.

N E W ! Project Execution and Control Process chapter - 60 new pages featuring processes for product integrity control; project administration; project updating and monitoring and management reporting.
